Malaysian Athletics: 1906 Legacy, Global Ambition
Established in Perak in 1906, Malaysian Athletics is among Asia’s oldest track-and-field federations. Nicknamed “The Tiger of Asia,” its athletes—icons such as Dr. Mani Jegathesan, M. Rajamani, and Samson Vallabuoy—have dominated the SEA Games and shone at the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championships, and Olympics. The current mission: place a Malaysian athlete in an Olympic final and restore regional supremacy on the world stage.
